Making informed marketing decisions is top of mind for some of the largest companies in Brazil. SPOTPROMO works with a field team of over 5,000 sales promoters and supervisors to provide trade marketing solutions, creating more than 100,000 research reports per month. Not only does SPOTPROMO leverage in-store data, but they also collect data through proprietary mobile solutions, much of which provides critical information such as attendance, product pricing, sales, product stock-out and brand/category floor-share/shelf-share. SPOTPROMO sought to address several specific challenges with their implementation of Pentaho, one of which included to better track and affect the KPIs that drive their business. By deploying Pentaho’s data integration and analytics platform in production starting in 2012, SPOTPROMO experienced a $20 Million (35%) growth in net revenue, which they attribute in great part to the data insights achieved with Pentaho. The organization also attributes their implementation of Pentaho to differentiating them from competition in Latin America and attracting the interest of enterprise companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Nestlé, Colgate, Microsoft, Lenovo, Epson, Mattel, Pernod-Ricard, Warner Bros, Groupe SEB and Faber-Castell.
